No. 60: Low-waste bathroom essentials
Hi, so sorry for the super late upload, but happy August!! I hope you enjoy this chaotic issue! ;) A section I was working on will be pushed back to next week, when it will hopefully be more cohesive. (That’s why this one is so sparse!)
A Tushy bidet review
Recently, I struck upon a very lucky find: a Tushy brand bidet attachment at a store that sells Amaz*n returns for $7. That’s right. Less than $10, when they usually sell for $129. (Mine was technically the $159 Spa, but because we didn’t connect it to warm water it’s the same as the Classic.) As a wannabe European, I knew I had to try it!
After we finally got around to installing it, it was pretty straightforward and simple! It reduces toilet paper, subsequently reducing water usage, and is a more hygienic option. I won’t describe in detail my experience, but it has been positive, and will instantly make one feel expensive and fresh (think organic produce). It’s also much more affordable than a real bidet, but I guess it’s not essential.
Getting to the bottom of it: what are the sustainable toilet paper brands?
Note: I still haven’t switched because it’s a little $$, so please don’t feel pressured or ashamed if you’re also not there yet!!
